Dear Subscribers,

Thank you for your many messages to me. It seems there is actually a lot of interest in the doctrine of reincarnation so I will pick up that thread again after Christmas. I much appreciated hearing from so many subscribers and tried to answer everyone who wrote. If you did not hear back, it is probably because you did not use the contact form and your e-mail went to a no-reply or spam folder. The other explanation would be that the e-mail entered in the contact form contained an error and bounced back to me. We are all under a lot of stress these days so try to take an extra minute to make sure your e-mail is valid. Obviously, I wouldn't mention this unless it were a recurring issue.

Thank you also for your donations. They are helping and touch the heart.

Gina and I are almost ready to launch the upgraded Institute site. I am sure Gina is very busy with holiday celebrations but she has been working every day for some months already. I am eager to formalize some of the details by putting a few more cards on the table; but it's the season now, and, as has become traditional with this list, a carol has been selected.

This year, I selected Jessye Norman. She passed away when I was in transit home from Mexico so I chose her Silent Night and hope you will appreciate the sentiment as well as the way her voice seems to come from Heaven and then blend with the children's singing. I pray she is now enjoying the rewards of the many gifts she shared with us over her long career as a remarkable diva.

In her memory, I would like to add one more performance. She owned this aria from Samson and Delilah:

In keeping with tradition, this message will be brief, but I would be remiss unless reminding everyone that we have an upcoming solar eclipse. I have attached a map of its path. We can assume the significance will be greater where the eclipse can be seen, but it will also be greater when it triggers a sensitive point in the birth chart. Based on my many years of study, I believe eclipses are important and the best response to them is to prepare within oneself. The late Thinley Norbu Rinpoche said that eclipses intensify the effects of whatever one does. He chose to schedule meditations around the eclipses and asked me to provide the dates and times so he could arrange this. I was so young at the time and accepted the responsibility with all my heart and mind.

For those without what is sometimes called a spiritual practice, I would suggest spending time now — even if terribly busy — to consider what is important for you in the next few years. Eclipses have effects for three to seven years. The goals we have are obviously personal. Some people have projects they want to complete within a specific time period. Some have issues they want to resolve, health challenges, life style changes, and so on. If you go back 19 years and multiples of 19 such as 38 and 57, you can perhaps get a clue about how this particular eclipse affected you in the past. With more insight and maturity, you can probably handle the energies better. That is my prayer for you.

My e-mails will pick up again on the 26th. Until then, I wish all of you a very peaceful and safe holiday season.

Many blessings,

Ingrid
